Poisonous fish

Yesterday was Rickard's to pick what we should do and we went around the island on scooters. There was some really nice scenery and we also did an elephant trekking, which was sort of my pick but I think Rickard enjoyed it too. We did some shopping and continued on...got a bit lost but found our way back to our bungalow :)

Today was mine to pick, guess what I managed to do...I got Rickard with me on a fishing trip and he didn't just watch he did some fishing too :)

It was a day trip and the flyer had BIG GAME FISHING all over it but we end up catching tiny but tropical fish. None was bigger than 0.5 kg but it was still pretty exiting and even though they were tiny they were quite good fighters! Our guides took care of the fish and told us not to touch them because many of the species were posionous.
The way they took care of the fish afterwards was qruite gross and is quite the opposite the catch and release which I usually do when I go fishing.

For lunch we had the fish we had caught and lots of fruits, it was sooo tasty :)
In the afternoon one of the guides put in a fat line with a big bait and he was going for the big fish. He attached the line to a wooden stick and left it in there. Everyone else was on the other side because there was shade there but since he put it in on the sunny side I reckon the big fish was there so I put my line in there too. Then I heard wood break and the line was flying away and I shouted to the guides...one ran and grabbed the line but that didn't stop the big what ever it was and he must have ended up with some nice burnmarks in the hand. Unfortunately the fish managed to get loose so we never saw what it was. The other guide showed us a fish they recently captured, a black monster about 8 kg and he said "this one was MUCH bigger".

I didn't get sick, yay! I did medicate yesterday but we will never know if it was the pills or something else.

Now two days of the beach is waiting before we return back to Bangkok.
