I've heard about this movie but after some lobbying by one of my workmates I finally decided to watch it. It's quite a classic for some people and I agree that it has some memorable moments and memorable characters and the fact that it is in black and white adds to the goodness. It's not held back in anyway which I like. What I didn't like though is that some of the dialogues are just line spitting...pretty poorly done I must say and it is this which drags down the rating a bit. It's definately worth watching for future reference for the sequel which is brilliant, but read more about that in the review for Clerks II.
